기아(Kia)차 말레이시아 현지 업체와 합작회사 설립

그동안 말레이시아에서 기아차는 말레이시아 회사인 NAZA에서 디스트리뷰터로 기아차를 공급을 해왔습니다. 여러모로 다른 외제차 브랜드와 비교하였을때 판매량도 부족하였고, 또한 자동차 수리를 맡겼을때 부품 수급 문제도 늘 있어왔습니다. 그런데 그동안 일본자동차 브랜드인 Mazda(2020년 기준 말레이시아 외제차 판매량 4위)를 성공적으로 판매시킨 말레이시아 업체인 BAuto 와 합작JV를 설립한다는 뉴스가 나왔습니다. 합작사는 CKD방식으로 말레이시아에 셀토스와 카니발을 런칭을 할 예정입니다.
